The road is especially tough for little girls and young women. Often small children are left as primary care givers of younger children because of the death of their parents from disease and poverty. Little Dresses for Africa is a Christian 501c3, providing humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable of God’s children: little girls. These dresses, made by volunteers from around the world, go out as little ambassadors to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy. As relationships are built, projects are completed through clean water, education and community. “We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending hope.” These little dresses are given freely to those in need. We plant the seeds. God sends the harvest.
Founded by Rachel O’Neill, LDFA is a registered non-profit 501c3 Christian organization.
To provide relief to vulnerable children throughout the Continent of Africa and beyond.
To plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy.
Volunteers join together to make little dresses out of pillow cases or other simple patterns.
Some sew. Some pack. Some donate materials and/or shipping money. Some go to Africa. Some send others. Together, we make a difference, one little dress at a time!
Sew with your group or independently. Send us your dresses and we will get them to the children in need. Any simple pattern is great. Group by size, avoid straight pins and include a self-addressed envelope when you ship them to us. Include a check to help with shipping if you’re able.
How? We send them with mission groups. We mail them directly. We ship containers. We take them personally.
A non-profit 501c3 organization providing relief to the children of Africa. We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending HOPE!
Simply stated… you are! We know people want to help. They just need to know how! Lives are changed here and across the ocean as we join together to help others.
